Sound Healing

Therapeutic effects of sound frequencies through the ancient art of the gong

What is sound healing?

Sound healing is an ancient therapeutic practice that uses sound vibrations to support the body’s natural ability to restore and rebalance. In this approach, large gongs are played to produce layered tones and frequencies that interact with the body and mind on a vibrational level. These rich, immersive sounds help shift brainwave activity into slower states associated with deep relaxation, meditation, and enhanced self-repair. This technique has been used for centuries across cultures as a way to reduce tension, release emotional build-up, and promote clarity.

What to expect

During a gong healing session, you’ll lie fully clothed on a comfortable mat or treatment couch, supported with cushions and blankets. There is no physical contact. The gongs are played continuously in gentle waves, surrounding you with sound that you both hear and feel. The vibrations work through the body, often helping to release energetic stagnation, quiet the mind, and relax the nervous system. People frequently report sensations such as tingling, emotional shifts, visual imagery, or a sense of spaciousness during or after the session.

Why Gong sound healing?

Unlike music for relaxation, gong healing uses carefully tuned frequencies that can affect the body's energetic and neurological systems. The resonance of the gong engages both physical and subtle layers of the body, helping to calm overactivity in the mind while stimulating the body’s restorative mechanisms. Regular sessions may support better sleep, emotional processing, reduced anxiety, and greater focus. Gong sound healing is suitable for anyone seeking an effective, non-verbal way to unwind and reset.
